BOPP biaxially oriented polypropylene film can withstand temperatures ranging from 120°C to 150°C. It is ideal for heat sealing and suitable for use in high-temperature environments, as some special products and foods need to be sealed at high temperatures. Therefore, it must have ultra-high mechanical strength and printing performance.

Why are more and more heat-sensitive applications choosing heat-resistant BOPP film instead of other films? Because ordinary BOPP film has a heat resistance of only about 100°C. Heat-resistant BOPP film has a better ingredient formula and adds heat-resistant additives and a special stretching process. It not only improves heat resistance, but also significantly improves heat sealing performance.

BOPP film can be used for heat sealing. However, this is limited to heat-resistant BOPP film, as ordinary BOPP film has very poor heat sealing performance. The heat sealing temperature of heat-resistant BOPP film can reach 150°C.

The melting point of BOPP is usually between 160 and 170°C. Different BOPP films have different melting points, depending on the formulation of the polypropylene raw material and additives. Melting causes the structure to lose stability. If you want to improve high temperature resistance, you can add heat-resistant additives. In practical applications, its melting point will be lower, and deformation will occur at 150°C.
