CPP metalized film is a type of extruded polypropylene. It uses a vacuum metallization process. This process deposits a layer of aluminum on the surface of transparent CPP film. This treatment enables the CPP metalized film to perform multiple functions.
This film features a silver reflective surface and high gloss, which enhances its appearance. The printing performance of the film after corona treatment is improved. Ink adhesion is enhanced, and printing clarity is higher. It is ideal for enhancing the appearance and packaging of high-end products. This metal layer also enhances the film’s toughness. It makes the film stronger and more resistant to punctures. In other words, metallized CPP film is more wear-resistant and has a longer service life than ordinary film.
One-sided metallization also enhances the sealing properties of the film. It has extremely low oxygen permeability and excellent barrier properties. It is moisture-proof, effectively extending the shelf life and preserving the food’s original flavor. It is light-proof and suitable for packaging medical supplies that need to be transported and stored away from light. The other side is not metallized, so it retains the excellent heat sealability of CPP film. It has similar properties to aluminum foil, but it’s cheaper. This makes it popular with many consumers.
